How Should I Arrange My Bookshelf ?

I’ve had this bookshelf for over a year now. I got it from Walmart and the shelves are uneven. I see different people who arrange their books so nice with a cute set up. Any ideas on how I can do that? Or should I just get a new bookshelf and go from there?

i used to have all my books crammed onto one bookshelf and then my boyfriend got my a second shelf for christmas.. well our kitten peed on my books TWICE and ruined probably 8-10 that i had to throw away. hence why there’s no books on the bottom shelves. she was finally old enough to get fixed
