five star read!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Emma has this curse. No, really, hear me out. Every guy she dates ends up finding their soulmate after they break up. But she's not alone. Enter Justin. Found through a Reddit post, he has the same exact curse, and together, maybe they can break it.

It was supposed to just be business. Four dates, a kiss, and a breakup. But how can that happen when everything just fits so right? That is, until real life hits them like a truck, and they're left dealing with way more than anticipated.

"Just for the Summer" was absolutely amazing. Perfection. 1000000000/10 would highly recommend. I don't think I can even put into words how much I loved this book. In my opinion, it is easily the best from Abby Jimenez. To feel the ultimate amount of emotions, I definitely recommend reading the others in the series first. The journey is SO worth it!

... Read moreOkay, bookworms, let me tell you about a book that absolutely wrecked me in the best way possible and easily became my new *five-star read*. We all search for that perfect book, the one that grips you from the first page and doesn't let go, and for me, 'Just for the Summer' by Abby Jimenez is it. It’s the kind of story that makes you remember why you fell in love with reading in the first place, and it honestly feels like one of those rare finds, like discovering your first five-star book of the year. At its heart, this book introduces us to Emma and Justin, two people linked by the most bizarre curse: everyone they date ends up finding their soulmate immediately after breaking up with them! Can you even imagine? This unique premise sets up a brilliant fake-dating scheme, where they plan a few dates, a kiss, and a breakup, hoping to finally break the curse together. But, as you can probably guess, things get incredibly complicated. Their interactions, from the witty banter to the quiet, lingering glances, felt so authentic. There's a particular romantic passage in the book that just perfectly captures the growing, undeniable connection between them, making their 'business arrangement' feel anything but. Their chemistry is off the charts, and you'll be rooting for them every step of the way. What makes Abby Jimenez a master storyteller, especially in 'Just for the Summer', is her ability to weave profound emotional depth into a seemingly lighthearted premise. She doesn't shy away from real-life challenges, hitting Emma and Justin with unexpected hurdles that make their journey even more poignant. I found myself laughing out loud one moment and tearing up the next. The emotional rollercoaster is real, and it’s what elevates this from a good romance to an unforgettable one. If you're looking for a book that delivers ultimate emotions, this is it. It makes you reflect on past five-star books and how few truly make you feel everything. For those who love diving deep into an author's world, I cannot recommend reading Abby Jimenez's other books in the series first enough. The original post mentioned this, and I wholeheartedly agree. While 'Just for the Summer' can be read as a standalone, the rich tapestry of interconnected characters and their backstories truly enhances the experience. It helps you understand the nuances and the emotional stakes even more profoundly. Trust me, the journey through her entire collection is incredibly rewarding. It's not just about finding a *five-star read*; it's about immersing yourself in a world crafted with so much heart. So, if you're like me and constantly on the hunt for your next favorite book, or if you're trying to curate your own list of annual *five-star books*, then 'Just for the Summer' should be at the top of your list. It’s a beautifully written, emotionally rich, and utterly captivating romance that you won't want to miss!
