The FBI should immediately make public any and all activities around these raids in Ohio. For years, Ohio has had safe and secure elections that have been administered in a bipartisan fashion.
Any attempt to intimidate Ohio voters is wrong, and will not work. Millions of Ohioans are ready to hold Washington politicians accountable for voting time and again to raise the cost of gas, groceries, and utility bills."

In my personal experience volunteering for local voter registration drives, trust and transparency are essential to empower marginalized communities. Such law enforcement actions risk undermining that trust and may discourage eligible voters from participating in upcoming elections. It's crucial to ensure that federal investigations do not cross into intimidation or political interference. Ohioans have repeatedly expressed their readiness to hold elected officials accountable, particularly in response to economic challenges like soaring gas, grocery, and utility costs. Restricting voter engagement through raids or surveillance only deepens political disenfranchisement. Greater public disclosure from the FBI regarding the scope and purpose of these raids could help restore confidence that the rule of law and democratic participation are protected. Ultimately, defending voting rights requires vigilance against tactics that threaten to silence voices, especially those from historically underrepresented communities. The federal government must balance its investigatory powers with a commitment to uphold democracy without instilling fear among voters actively exercising their constitutional rights.
