🤯🤯🤯10/10!!! didn’t wanna put it down, definitely a page turner and not your typical Colleen Hoover romance novel (not that those are bad 🤪). fair warning; as a mom, some parts were pretty hard to read however i definitely don’t think that would keep me from reading again. lots of twists and turns. if you’re thinking about reading it, DO IT!💖✨

Okay, so let's talk about *Verity*. You know how sometimes a book's back cover gives you just enough to pique your interest, but then the story blows past all expectations? That's exactly how I felt diving into this one by our #1 New York Times Bestselling Author, Colleen Hoover. When I first looked at the back of the book, I was expecting a suspenseful romance, maybe a little dark, but nothing prepared me for the sheer psychological depth and the jaw-dropping twists hidden within those pages. The blurb usually sets the stage, right? For *Verity*, it perfectly sets a mood of unease and mystery, but it expertly holds back the true extent of the darkness that awaits. It made me think, 'woah...' what could possibly be inside? The back cover hints at a struggling writer, Lowen Ashleigh, who takes a once-in-a-lifetime job at the home of Jeremy Crawford, the husband of famous author Verity Crawford, who is incapacitated. Lowen is hired to complete Verity’s successful book series. But then, she uncovers Verity’s unfinished autobiography—a chilling account full of dark confessions. This premise alone is compelling, but the way Hoover executes it is masterful. It promises a tale of dark secrets and unsettling truths, and let me tell you, it delivers on that promise and then some! It doesn't just deliver; it shatters your expectations. The content inside is far more chilling and intricate than any blurb could truly convey. It leaves you questioning everything, even long after you've turned the last page. It truly makes you reconsider the nature of truth and deception. Many of you might be familiar with Colleen Hoover’s more traditional romance novels, like 'It Ends With Us.' If you loved the emotional depth and character arcs in her other works, but are looking for something with a much darker, more thrilling edge, then Verity is your next must-read. While 'It Ends With Us' explores complex relationships and domestic issues with a poignant softness, Verity plunges you into a world of psychological suspense, where trust is a luxury and truth is a shifting sand. It’s a complete genre shift, showcasing Hoover’s incredible versatility as a writer. Don't expect the same comforting romance; instead, prepare for a relentless psychological ride that will keep you guessing until the very end. The shift from her typical style is precisely what makes 'Verity' so captivating for many readers—it’s an unexpected journey into a genre where she truly excels. It’s truly a unique piece in her bibliography, and one I highly recommend if you're ready for something different and intensely captivating. You'll be thinking about that ending for days!

My favorite Colleen Hoover book. I just read November 9 and that one had me too
