Next, challenge the narrative. That voice saying 'you can't' isn't always right. I started asking myself: 'Is this thought based on fact or fear?' 'What's the worst that can realistically happen?' Most times, the answers were far less terrifying than my mind made them out to be. I learned to talk back to that menacing shadow, not with anger, but with logic and self-compassion. Then, embrace imperfection. This was a game-changer for my fear of failure. I realized that striving for perfection was often just another form of procrastination. Instead, I focused on 'good enough' and 'progress over perfection.' Small wins began to chip away at the shadow’s power.
