It's easy to say "I'll journal every day," but building that consistency takes effort. What I've found incredibly helpful is pairing a new habit with an existing one. For instance, after my morning coffee, I immediately grab my journal for 5-10 minutes of reflection. It's a small change, but it builds momentum. This helps me show up for myself, even on days when motivation is low. Another big one is embracing failure. This was tough for me. I used to see setbacks as proof I wasn't good enough. But actually, every time I've stumbled, it's been an opportunity to learn and grow. If I tried a new routine and it didn't work, instead of quitting, I'd ask myself: what can I adjust?
