When I make it at home, I aim for that perfect balance, seeing the dark coffee, creamy milk, and airy foam. In contrast, a latte is mostly steamed milk with just a thin layer of foam, making it smoother and milder. I’ve learned that the key difference often comes down to the milk-to-espresso ratio and the texture of the steamed milk – velvety for latte, firm for cappuccino foam. Those 'coffee, milk, foam' elements are precisely what make them unique. Beyond the hot classics, 'iced latte types' have become my go-to, especially on warm days.
