One of the biggest game-changers for me was establishing a clear time management routine. It's not just about having a list; it’s about creating a flow for your day. I started with a simple morning routine: waking up, planning my top 3 priorities for the day, and then tackling the most important task first. This helps set the tone and ensures that even if the rest of the day goes sideways, I’ve already moved the needle on something critical. In the evenings, I spend 10-15 minutes organizing my tasks for the next day, brain-dumping anything new, and making sure my physical and digital workspaces are ready. This proactive planning seriously cuts down on morning decision fatigue. Speaking of workspaces, optimizing mine was crucial for organizing my time effectively. My desk used to be a mess, and so was my digital desktop. I quickly learned that a tidy space fosters a clear mind, just like the article mentioned. I took inspiration from visuals I’d seen – like that 'PLAN' clipboard mentioned in the OCR – and created my own visual system.
