My personal detox journey truly began at the base, tackling degenerative foods. It wasn't about completely cutting everything out overnight, which felt impossible for me. Instead, I focused on gradual replacement. For example, my daily afternoon snack of chips slowly became a handful of nuts or a piece of fruit. Swapping sugary sodas for infused water made a huge difference in my energy levels, and I noticed less brain fog almost immediately. It’s amazing how much lighter you feel once you reduce the burden of these 'clogging' foods. Moving up, incorporating more raw foods seemed like the next logical step. I started small, adding a big, colorful salad to my lunch every day or blending a handful of spinach into my morning smoothie. It wasn't about becoming a raw foodist, but about boosting my intake of living enzymes and nutrients. My digestion improved significantly, and I felt a noticeable increase in vitality. The fresh, vibrant taste of raw vegetables and fruits became something I genuinely craved. Then came the revelation of fruit and monofruit. I used to just eat a mix of fruits, but trying monofruit for breakfast was a game-changer for my gut. Eating just one type of fruit, like a whole bowl of ripe mangoes or a bunch of grapes, allowed my digestive system to work efficiently without getting overwhelmed.
