Can’t go wrong with the Coco Mama franchise to start off. They have their different mama shops littered around the island so you can try their different ice cream flavours and cool off in the hot weather. Nice touch for serving it in a coconut.
Spicebird 🐦

Reminded me of nando’s somehow. Rice was fragrant and the chicken came with so many sauces to dip into. Was located in the center of the island but yet the vibe was chill with no frills.
Tostachon 🐽
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Went back here twice because the drinks were so cheap, 1 for 1 simple cocktails, but they really loaded them up. Came for the Le Chon, but left tipsy every-time. Tacos were yummy too!
Jonah’s Fruit Shake 🍌
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Their menu was extensive! So many fruit combination options. This was an essential drink on the island whenever we were looking to get hydrated and have something healthy. They also have these very unique calamansi muffins, definitely give it a try!
The Sunny Side Cafe 🌞
Rating : ⭐⭐
Found this cafe a bit too overhyped, more for the gram. Probably the food was not too my tastebuds, it was either too sweet or too salty. The view was nice though, just out on the beach with Willy’s Rock to the corner.
Mango Mama 🥭
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Can’t go wrong with mango. Enough said.
Cafe Uno 🥇
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The rating is mostly for the vibes - music playing, wind blowing, sea view just ahead. Basically a chill roof top bar that served not bad food. It was a steep stair climb up to the rooftop though
Percy Seafood 🦞
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Do not order the crab beehoon, don’t be fooled, it looks good but it tasted like the ocean - the salt jar fell over this dish. The rest of the food was great, seafood was fresh, they also served cocktails. Though price wise, this place wasn’t the cheapest.
... Read moreBoracay is not just a paradise for sun and sand lovers but also a hub for diverse and vibrant food experiences. During my visit, I found that exploring local eateries added a whole new layer to the trip. For instance, at Coco Mama, the experience of enjoying creamy ice cream served inside an actual coconut was both refreshing and Instagram-worthy. This unique serving style really complements Boracay’s tropical vibe and offers a memorable treat for hot days.
Spicebird’s fragrant rice paired with multiple dipping sauces reminded me of the famous Nando’s but with its own island twist. This place has a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a casual yet satisfying meal after a day of beach activities. What stood out to me here was how the flavors were well-balanced, making each bite enjoyable without being overwhelming.
Tostachon quickly became my go-to spot, especially for their 1-for-1 cocktail deals. Their Lechon, a crispy pork skin specialty, was a must-try that packed a punch in flavor. It’s rare to find a place that offers both budget-friendly drinks and tasty food, making it a hotspot for tourists and locals alike.
When craving something healthier and hydrating, Jonah’s Fruit Shake was ideal. Their extensive menu allowed me to experiment with different tropical fruit blends, and the calamansi muffins were an unexpected but delightful find. This place is a go-to for anyone wanting a refreshing local fruit fix.
Despite the hype, Sunny Side Cafe didn’t quite meet my expectations for food, as the flavors tended to swing between too sweet or too salty. However, its location near Willy’s Rock made it a perfect spot for some beachside photos and a peaceful view.
Mango Mama deserves all the praise it gets. Their plant-based mango coco ice cream blended creamy textures with fresh mango flavor—a simple yet delicious treat embodying the island’s essence.
Cafe Uno had a great vibe, with a rooftop setting that offers soothing sea views and cool breezes, making it ideal for relaxing with a drink and enjoying mellow tunes. Just be ready for the stair climb!
For seafood lovers, Percy Seafood offered freshness and a wide selection. A word to the wise: avoid the crab beehoon, which was overly salty. Still, the cocktails and other fresh dishes made up for it, albeit at a higher price point.
Overall, trying the local food spots in Boracay is a vital part of the travel experience. It’s not just about eating but immersing yourself in the island's flavors and the social vibes each place offers. Whether you’re into fresh fruit shakes, savory chicken dishes, or relaxed rooftop bars, Boracay’s food scene has something for every taste and budget.
