I was debating for 2 years on whether they were worth it or not, and I was definitely not about to pay the $601 price after tax. However BestBuy now has a huge sale and I ended up paying $490 for them.

A newer version is expected to be releasing later this year tho.

UPDATE: I highly recommend to purchase Apple Care +. It was only $39 to get them repaired with the Apple Care + membership.
