... Read moreOkay, fellow cafe hoppers, I have to spill the tea (or should I say, Mugwort Latte?) on a fantastic new spot I recently discovered in Koreatown – O.Beem! You know that feeling when you just stumble upon a place and it instantly becomes a favorite? That was my experience with O.Beem. I was actually just browsing around Music Plaza when I spotted this inviting cafe, and boy, am I glad I decided to pop in.
First off, let's talk about the vibe. O.Beem has this incredibly chic and modern aesthetic that's both minimalist and warm. The interior features beautiful light grey walls, adorned with stylish art prints, many of which seem to feature pottery, adding a unique, artistic touch. It's not just a place for coffee; it feels like a little gallery. The white tables and chairs are perfectly arranged, creating a bright and airy space that's ideal for catching up with friends, getting some work done, or simply enjoying a quiet moment. If you're into taking aesthetic photos for your feed, this place is a goldmine – every corner is picture-perfect!
Now, for the main event: the menu! This is where O.Beem truly shines and what makes it stand out from other Koreatown cafes. Their specialty drinks, particularly the Mugwort Einspanner and Mugwort Latte, are an absolute revelation. I'd never tried mugwort in a coffee before, and I was so intrigued. The drinks are beautifully layered green and white, a feast for the eyes before you even take a sip. The Mugwort Einspanner, with its creamy top, offers a delightful balance of earthy mugwort flavor with a touch of sweetness. The latte is equally comforting and unique. Beyond these, I also noticed signs for seasonal delights, like a Strawberry Matcha Cream, which sounds equally delicious and worth a try next time.
And you can't have amazing drinks without equally amazing pastries, right? O.Beem delivers on that front too. Their display case was filled with tempting treats. I saw flavors like Strawberry, Vanilla, and Earl Grey pastries, all looking incredibly fresh and ready to be paired with your chosen beverage. I opted for an Earl Grey pastry, and it was the perfect complement to my mugwort drink – not too sweet, with a lovely subtle flavor.
Finding O.Beem is pretty easy, especially if you're already exploring the Koreatown Plaza area. It’s super convenient to grab a delicious drink and a snack after shopping or before heading to another K-Town adventure. It’s definitely earned a spot on my list of must-visit Los Angeles cafes. If you're looking for unique drinks, a beautiful setting, and a chill atmosphere, you absolutely have to check out O.Beem. Trust me, your taste buds and your camera roll will thank you!
