... Read moreIn 'Things We Hide from the Light', Lucy Score captures the complexities of relationships and the human experience with unapologetic language. The use of cursing serves not just as a stylistic choice but as a means of authenticity, reflecting the characters' struggles and emotions. Readers appreciate books that don't shy away from reality; books that provide an unfiltered look at life often resonate more deeply. In discussions about contemporary literature, it becomes evident that cursing can play a significant role in character development and plot progression. As we delve into the societal norms surrounding language in books, it's clear that while some readers may shy away from profane expressions, many welcome them as a form of genuine expression. Thus, 'Things We Hide from the Light' may serve as an excellent conversation starter within the #lemon8bookclub, encouraging debates about language use in literature and how it affects reader connection. Whether you love or hate the cuss words, there’s no denying they impact the storytelling and communication style of the author.

If you only read 1 self help book
Love a personal development book. All of these I read in the past 3ish years. ❤️The Big Leap I swear by this book it has changed my perspective more than any book I’ve ever read. Whenever I catch myself being a hot mess it’s the best book to go back to remember how crashing out isn’t helpful.
