... Read moreHey everyone! So, my mini vlog gives you a peek into my actual after-school evening, which can be a bit chaotic sometimes, especially when that 'storm is coming' (aka homework!). But even with a busy schedule, I've been trying to infuse a little bit of that #wonyoungism magic into my night routine to make it feel more intentional and calming. It's all about making those small moments count. After I'm finally home, often feeling so tired from the day, the first thing I try to do is create a cozy atmosphere. I know in the vlog I might jump straight to Roblox, but lately, I've been making an effort to unpack a bit and tidy up my desk area. A clean and aesthetically pleasing space just makes everything feel more organized, even if my brain is still thinking, 'I had homework to do!' Sometimes, just lighting a scented candle or putting on some soft fairy lights can completely change the vibe of my room. One of the biggest parts of a Wonyoungism-inspired night routine for me is skincare. Even if I'm not doing a full 10-step routine every night, just taking a few minutes to cleanse, tone, and moisturize feels like such a treat. It’s not just about looking good; it's a small act of self-care that helps me unwind from the day's stress. I've found that having a dedicated spot for my skincare products on my desk or a small vanity makes it easier to stick to. Maybe a gentle foaming cleanser followed by a hydrating serum – simple yet effective. Another key is winding down. After grabbing my quick snacks (and maybe a jasmine milk tea boba from a cafe if I'm out with friends!), I try to switch from high-energy activities to something more relaxing. Instead of endless scrolling, perhaps I’ll put on my air pods and listen to some calming music, or pick up a physical book for a chapter or two. It’s about creating a deliberate transition from the day's hustle to a peaceful evening. Sometimes, even just looking at the beautiful sky after driving home can be a moment of calm. And yes, homework! It's inevitable. But I try to tackle it in a way that doesn't feel overwhelming. Setting a timer for focused work sessions, taking short, mindful breaks, and rewarding myself with a little treat (like that yummy latiao from the market!) can make it so much more manageable. I’ve even started planning out my next day's tasks before bed, which helps clear my mind. After dinner, I love to just sit and reflect on the day, maybe jot down a few thoughts in a gratitude journal. It’s a perfect way to process everything before signing off for the night. Ultimately, a 'Wonyoungism night routine' isn't about perfection or having the most expensive items, but about being mindful and adding little touches of joy and self-care to your evening. It could be enjoying a delicious snack, making your bed, or simply taking a moment to appreciate your surroundings. What small things do you do to make your evenings feel more special and 'Wonyoung-coded'?
