Building a basic healthy grocery list doesn't have to be overwhelming! I've found that a little planning goes a long way, especially when you're trying to keep an eye on calories or just eat better overall. My strategy usually starts with looking at what I already have and what meals I want to make for the next week or two. It really helps to visualize a healthy foods cart even before I leave the house. For me, fresh fruits and vegetables are always at the top of the list. I love stocking up on versatile items like cucumber, celery, and lettuce for salads and snacks. Blueberries and bananas are perfect for smoothies or quick breakfasts. And you can never go wrong with juicy tomatoes for so many dishes! When I see a good deal, I grab it, knowing I'll use it up. Having a colorful array of produce in my shopping cart makes me feel so good about my healthy choices. Next up is dairy and protein. I always make sure to have plenty of Chobani yogurts on hand – they're great for a quick snack or breakfast, and there are so many flavors! Cottage cheese is another fantastic high-protein option that I love to pair with fruit. And, of course, having 1% low-fat milk or whole milk is essential for coffee, cereals, or cooking. Don't forget those Goldhen Farm Fresh eggs; they're such a versatile and affordable source of protein for any meal of the day. These are staples in my healthy grocery cart. Pantry staples are key for healthy eating too. I always keep whole wheat bread for sandwiches or toast, and a good jar of peanut butter is a must-have for a quick energy boost. Hummus is another personal favorite to go with veggies or crackers – it’s perfect for dipping. And for my morning routine, a quality Vermont Coffee Company coffee is non-negotiable! These items form the backbone of my meals and snacks, making grocery shopping for healthy foods much simpler. Hydration is super important, so I always add some fun beverages to my cart. Bubly sparkling water (coconut pineapple and strawberry sunset are my faves!) is a great way to add flavor without extra calories. And a splash of Simply Grapefruit juice is a nice treat. When I'm grocery shopping, I try to visualize how each item fits into my meals. For example, the blueberries can go into my yogurt, the cucumber and tomatoes into a salad, and the eggs can be scrambled for breakfast or hard-boiled for a snack. It makes it easier to stick to my calorie goals when I have these healthy options readily available in my fridge, alongside my meat supply. It’s all about making healthy choices convenient and building a practical, basic healthy grocery list. Hopefully, these tips help you create your own amazing healthy food cart!

If you’re on an antidepressant, make sure the grapefruit juice doesn’t interact with it! Just FYI❤️ Those Chobani flips are the BEST btw. 🤣
