You know those perfect days when the 'suns out' and your furry friend's 'tongues out,' just living their best life? That's exactly the kind of Tuesday I had with my sweet Aggie! Seeing her happy face, tongue lolling out, soaking up the warmth always brings a huge smile to my face. It's such a pure expression of joy, right? It's honestly one of my favorite things to witness. I've always found it so endearing when dogs do this. It's not just about panting to cool down on a warm day – though that's definitely part of it, especially for active pups like Aggie who love to zoom around. And a shaded spot is an absolute must for when she needs a break from the direct sun. We want them to enjoy the 'suns out' vibe without any worries. I also try to feel the pavement with my hand before we go on walks – if it's too hot for my hand for more than a few seconds, it's definitely too hot for her sensitive paws. And, of course, never, ever leave your dog in a parked car, even on a seemingly mild day; temperatures can rise dangerously fast. Aggie, my little queen, has so many silly quirks, and her 'suns out, tongues out' pose is definitely one of my favorites.
