宮崎県の日南市にあるサンメッセ日南は、世界で唯一、公式に復元されたモアイ像が立ち並ぶスポットとして知られています。この場所は、まるでイースター島にいるかのような非日常感を味わえるため、国内外から多くの観光客が訪れています。私も実際に訪れた際、青い空と広大な海を背景にそびえるモアイ像たちの迫力に圧倒されました。カラフルな銅像も点在し、写真映えすること間違いなしです。 レンタルカートの利用がおすすめで、広い敷地内を疲れることなく見て回れます。風を感じながらの散策はとても爽快で、漕ぐブランコでゆったり過ごすのも楽しい体験でした。また、敷地内にはリクガメのスミスをはじめとした動物もいて、動物好きにも嬉しいポイントです。 さらに、都井岬では野生の御崎馬に会えることで有名です。私は馬が人に慣れていることに驚きましたが、マナーとして距離を保ちつつ静かに見守ることが大切です。春から初夏にかけては赤ちゃん馬も見られ、癒される時間を過ごせます。都井岬の御崎神社手前の小松ヶ丘エリアは馬に会いやすく、ぜひ訪れてほしい場所です。アクセスも宮崎市内から車で約2時間半、日南市からは約1時間半と程よい距離で、駐車場も無料なので利用しやすいです。 これらのスポットは、宮崎で「映えスポット」としても話題で、ジブリの世界を彷彿とさせる自然美を満喫しながら、憧れのモアイ像とも出会えます。今度の旅行や週末のお出かけに、ぜひ候補に入れてみてはいかがでしょうか？
