行ってみて一番よかったのは、「説明できない感情」を“単語”で拾えるところでした。恋って、嬉しい・切ない・不安…だけじゃ言い切れない瞬間が多いじゃないですか。この展示は「名前のない気持ち」を、世界のユニークな表現で知れるので、語彙力が増えるというより“自分の心の輪郭がはっきりする”感覚に近かったです。 会場では、壁いっぱいに並んだ言葉を眺めながら「今の自分にしっくりくるのはどれ？」って探すのが楽しいです。たとえばスウェーデン語など、日本語にはないニュアンスの単語が多くて、恋のモヤモヤやときめきが言語化されるとちょっと救われる感じがしました。見つけた言葉を誰かに送りたくなるのも、この展示の魅力。 特にバレンタイン前におすすめしたい理由は、来場者特典のギフトタグ。世界のことばが書かれたタグを2枚まで持ち帰りOKで、封筒の壁から選ぶ時間がすでにプレゼント作りみたいでテンション上がります。「バイブスあげてくれるBestieへ」みたいに、恋人だけじゃなく友達向けにも使いやすいのが良かったです。チョコにひと言添えるのが苦手でも、“言葉そのもの”を贈れるのでハードルが下がりました。 あと、映像×香りのイマーシブ体験も想像以上。短編映画のストーリーに合わせて香りが変化して、五感で感情を味わえるタイプなので、静かに没入したい人に向いてます。個人的には、香りが変わる瞬間に「今の場面の気持ちってこれだ…」と腑に落ちることがありました。 行く前のメモ：渋谷モディ1階イベントスペースで期間限定開催。混む時間帯は展示の言葉をじっくり読みづらいので、できれば早めの時間に行くのがおすすめです。バレンタインの“添えるメッセージ”に悩んでる人こそ、ここで言葉を拾って帰ると今年は少し特別になると思います。
