Autumn Decor

My kids love helping me make the house festive for the seasons and holidays. I mostly keep my decor simple inexpensive & year to year I reuse everything. Adding a few clearance pieces here or there.

Places I have gotten decor from over the years

Christmas Tree stores (😔), At Home, Dollar Tree, Hobby Lobby, Kohls and a few local shops.

I also love warm Autumn colored throw blankets & have a bunch I’ve bought for less than $10.

Many families, like those described in the original content, enjoy involving their kids in decorating to make the season extra special. Using reusable decorations year after year not only saves money but also reduces waste and allows you to build a collection of seasonal items that become meaningful over time. When looking for autumn decor, popular stores such as Dollar Tree, Hobby Lobby, At Home, Kohls, and local shops often offer great clearance sales on seasonal items including wreaths, pumpkins, garlands, and signage with messages like “Welcome HARVEST” or “Happy Thankful Grateful Blessed,” which help set the festive mood. These phrases capture the spirit of the season and add a personalized touch to your space. Additionally, incorporating warm-colored textiles like throw blankets in hues of orange, rust, gold, and deep reds enhances comfort and style. Affordable options under $10 make it easy to refresh your living room or bedroom without overspending. Layering these blankets on sofas or armchairs creates cozy spots perfect for chilly fall evenings. Don’t overlook handmade or DIY projects inspired by autumn leaves, pinecones, or harvest themes. These can be a fun family activity and give your decor a unique, heartfelt charm. With simple additions and thoughtful reuse, you can transform your home into a festive retreat that welcomes friends and family during the beautiful autumn months.
