rhode came out with 2 new lip tints and a new pocket blush shade for spring so of course I had to buy it! here’s my review:
1) sweet pea 🌷
a baby pink shade. I love this one is so pretty for everyday. my only con is that it looks a lot like ribbon, but if you don’t have ribbon, this is perf. it also smells like the sweet pea scent from bath and body works
2) pretzel 🥨
this my fav by far. it smells like kettle corn and is a shimmery mauve. it looks darker in the swatch than it actually is
3) teacup 🫖
this blush shade is so pretty for spring and summer. it’s a hot pink but isn’t too neon which I was worried about
I give everything a 10/10 I’m obsessed with the new drop

When that "open box containing three cosmetic product packages" arrived, I instantly felt the excitement. Inside were the two new Peptide Lip Tints, Sweet Pea and Pretzel, alongside the Teacup Pocket Blush. I couldn't wait to get them out and start swatching!
Let's talk about the stars of the show, the lip tints. First up, Sweet Pea! In the tube, it's this gorgeous, soft "baby pink." On my hand, when I was "displaying two swatches," it showed up as a delicate, light pink. My first thought was, 'Is this going to be too similar to Ribbon?' And while there's definitely a family resemblance, Sweet Pea has its own charm. It's that perfect 'your lips but better' shade for everyday. The best part? The scent! It genuinely smells just like Bath and Body Works' iconic Sweet Pea, which instantly transports me back to my younger days. On the lips, it gives a beautiful, subtle wash of color and a lovely, plush gloss. It feels super hydrating and comfortable, not sticky at all. It's definitely become my go-to for a fresh, natural look.
Then there's Pretzel, which has quickly become my absolute favorite. This one is a "shimmery mauve," and it's just stunning. When I did the "swatches on hand," it looked a bit darker and more intense than it actually translates onto my lips, which was a pleasant surprise. The shimmer isn't chunky or gritty; it's super fine and gives this gorgeous, multi-dimensional sheen without being over the top. And the smell? Pure 'kettle corn'! It's so unique and delicious. On the "close-up views of lips," you can really see how that "slightly darker, shimmery gloss" transforms the look. It's sophisticated but still playful, making it perfect for both day and night. I find myself reaching for Pretzel constantly because it just adds that little something extra to my makeup without much effort. The longevity is pretty decent for a gloss too; I get a good few hours before needing a reapplication.
Now, onto the Teacup Pocket Blush. Oh my goodness, this shade! I was a little nervous about a "hot pink" blush, worrying it might be too neon or intimidating. But Rhode nailed it. It's a vibrant pink, yes, but it blends out beautifully into such a natural, healthy flush. It's not at all clown-like, which was my biggest fear. The OCR mentioned a "pink blush applied to the cheeks" and "focuses on the blush application," and I can confirm it looks incredibly fresh and youthful. It's super creamy and easy to work with, whether I apply it with my fingers or a brush. It melts into the skin, giving you that 'lit from within' glow. For spring and summer, this is going to be a staple for adding a pop of color to the complexion. It genuinely brightens up my whole face.
Overall, Rhode's spring collection gets a massive thumbs up from me. The quality, the unique scents, and the beautiful shades make them stand out. If you're looking for new lip tints that are comfortable, pretty, and smell amazing, or a blush that gives you a perfect spring flush, definitely check these out. They're quickly becoming everyday essentials in my makeup bag!
