I am a woman who started from nothing…
I came to the United States carrying a dream, and a heart worn down by life’s hardships… but I never gave up.
I am of Arab origin, and the beginning was not easy at all.
Learning a new language, adapting to a new culture, new traditions… everything was new.
The start was incredibly difficult — I had no one to speak to in my own language, and no one to guide me or hold my hand toward the right path.
But God was my strength, my hope, and my guide.
I earned certifications in skincare and beauty, and I learned a lot…
But over time, I realized that certificates are not everything.
A person is defined by their ambition, their persistence, and their willingness to keep learning every single day… until the last day of their life.
I faced struggles. I fell. I got tired…
But I kept rising — for my family, for my children, and to live with dignity and work honestly.
In this life, we run endlessly toward the future…
And one day, we may reach the end without even realizing it…
We sit alone, remembering the past — moments that made us smile, and others that broke us.
But the truth I’ve learned is this:
What matters most is not money or certificates…
It is God’s love, the mercy in our hearts, and the humanity we give to others.
My faith in Jesus Christ is my strength.
Through Him, I learn to plant love, create hope, and live in peace.
I still don’t know how I made it this far…
But I thank God at every moment for His blessings, His generosity, and His endless love.
Follow me… my story is not over yet 🤍
I am still learning, still dreaming, and still beginning again — every single day.
Starting a new life in a foreign country can be one of the most challenging experiences a person can face, especially when it involves adapting to a completely different culture and language. Having gone through this myself, I can truly relate to the struggles of feeling isolated and unsure of the path ahead. It takes immense courage to start from nothing, especially when you have no one to guide you along the way. What resonates deeply is the recognition that formal certifications and achievements are just part of a bigger journey. Ambition and continuous learning every day, fueled by inner strength and hope, are what truly define a person’s growth. I have found that even when life tires you out and knocks you down, rising again—for the sake of family, personal dignity, and honest work—is what keeps the flame alive. Faith, whether in God or a higher power, can be a powerful pillar when navigating tough times. It offers a sense of peace and purpose, helping to cultivate love and hope despite hardships. Like the author, many discover that the core of a fulfilling life is not about accumulating wealth or certificates but about nurturing mercy, humanity, and kindness in our hearts. Moreover, learning to embrace new beginnings daily makes the journey worthwhile. Each day presents an opportunity to grow, dream, and reinvent oneself. This mindset is essential for immigrants and anyone facing big life changes. Surrounding oneself with positive energy and holding onto spiritual strength can transform obstacles into stepping stones. In my experience, sharing stories of perseverance and faith not only inspires others but also helps build a supportive community. Platforms that bring together diverse voices, like TikTok or Q Al Alive mentioned in the article, play a role in connecting people who seek encouragement and empowerment. These networks create spaces where personal growth stories flourish and motivate others to keep progressing despite adversity. In sum, the journey from difficulty to strength involves learning to trust in one’s resilience, embracing continuous self-improvement, and valuing the intangible gifts of love and faith. It’s a path that may be lonely at times but ultimately shapes a meaningful and dignified life.
