Understanding and respecting pronouns and identity terms is essential. Nonbinary people may use pronouns like they/them, ze/zir, or others that feel right to them. Allies and friends can support nonbinary individuals by listening, asking respectful questions, and using the names and pronouns that affirm their identity. Nonbinary pride is about visibility, acceptance, and celebration of all identities that exist beyond the gender binary. Sharing personal stories helps build awareness and breaks down societal norms that can limit understanding. Engagement on platforms where unique experiences are shared contributes to a more inclusive environment where everyone’s identity is honored.
