Decluttering My House
On days, I really don't feel like doing anything, I set a 15-minute timer. I clean for that length of time.
It usually gets me in the mood to do more! My late mother-in-law always said, “Every little bit helps.” It has!
She left us the house after we took care of her for 10 years!

Decluttering your home is a fulfilling journey that not only creates a cleaner space but also promotes mental clarity. Start by identifying areas in your home that require immediate attention. As suggested, setting a 15-minute timer can kickstart your motivation and allow you to focus on one space at a time. Prioritize rooms or areas where clutter tends to accumulate, like kitchens, bathrooms, or living rooms. Break down larger chores into manageable tasks and tackle them one at a time. You can also utilize organizational tools such as bins, baskets, and drawer dividers to maintain order. Consider the 'one in, one out' rule: for every new item you bring into your home, let go of an item you no longer use. This strategy helps prevent future clutter. Don't forget to celebrate your progress, no matter how small, and remember that every little bit helps! Join communities online or social media groups for additional support and inspiration. Utilize hashtags like #declutteringjourney and #minimalism to connect with others on the same path.
