New Living room Rug

I am having a hard time deciding whether to keep this rug or send it back. It isn’t in place yet but I want to mop the floor and use Rejuvenate to make it shine before putting the rug in place. I bought it to match the tapestry but I wish there was more of the solid colors and less ivory due to having two grandkids and two cats. I may keep it for now and keep searching for exactly what I want then sell this one.

What do you think?

Solid colors often provide a versatile backdrop for various decorations, while patterned rugs can add character and detail. If you find yourself unsure about a rug, take a step back and assess its colors against the tapestry or other furnishings in your space. You might want to experiment with the layout of the furniture and see how the rug interacts with the room's lighting throughout the day. Additionally, maintenance plays a significant role in your rug's longevity and appearance. To keep your rug looking fresh, routine vacuuming and occasional spot cleaning are crucial. Certain products like Rejuvenate can help restore shine to your floors before placing a new rug, ensuring that everything looks cohesive. If you decide to keep the rug but still find it lacking, consider layering it with smaller, complementary rugs or throws that echo the solid colors you desire. These small adjustments can transform your room and make it feel complete.
