Think burpees (lots of them!), pull-ups, carries with heavy objects (like that cylindrical object I had to shoulder!), and plenty of functional movements. Grip strength is a game-changer for rope climbs and monkey bars. Don't forget to train your core; it'll help you navigate those muddy crawls and maintain stability throughout the course. Consistency is key, and seeing my body transform was a huge motivator. Race day itself is an adventure. I learned that what you wear makes a difference.
