Faith over Retaliation

In my own experience, choosing faith over retaliation has been a transformative journey. When faced with difficult people or situations that naturally provoke frustration or anger, turning those emotions over to God has helped me find a calm center. I often reflect on Psalms 120:1, which reminds me that calling on the Lord in my distress brings answers and relief. Instead of reacting impulsively or seeking revenge, I focus on prayer and meditation, allowing God to guide my response. This practice doesn't mean ignoring wrongs or being passive; rather, it empowers a stronger, more peaceful stance. I’ve found that when fear and frustration arise, consciously handing them over to God changes my perspective, giving me peace and renewed strength to handle challenges with grace and dignity. By trusting that justice and healing come from a higher power, I avoid lowering myself to harmful patterns and instead grow spiritually. Every morning, especially on difficult days, I start with gratitude and surrender, repeating affirmations like "Because Jesus lives in my heart, I will not fall to the level of my adversaries." This mindset, combined with scripture and prayer, has greatly improved my emotional well-being and relationships. Embracing faith over retaliation invites peace into our hearts and conversations, fostering a more loving and forgiving environment around us.
