April 30th: “Gas prices” #365daysofmylife #workingmomof6
Managing gas expenses is a challenge many families face, especially for those juggling multiple responsibilities like a working mom of six. Over time, I've noticed how gas prices not only affect our monthly budget but also influence daily decisions like when to fill up or how often to run errands. One strategy that has helped me is monitoring local gas price trends and opting to buy fuel during lower-price periods, often early in the week. Using apps and websites that track gas prices at nearby stations can save a few dollars each time, which adds up significantly when you have a large family vehicle. Additionally, combining errands to reduce trips and considering more fuel-efficient routes has made a noticeable difference. We also prioritize vehicle maintenance, such as keeping tires properly inflated and scheduling regular oil changes, to maximize fuel efficiency. As a busy working mom, balancing time and budget constraints, learning to adapt to gas price fluctuations has become an essential skill. It’s not just about cutting costs but also about maintaining a smooth, manageable daily routine amid changing economic conditions.
