Save this for your New York Fall Roadtrip 📌
The Finger Lakes region is one of the most beautiful places to see fall colors in New York. Here’s a road trip idea that takes you through 4 amazing state parks, each filled with waterfalls, trails, and stunning autumn views.
🍁 Stop 1: Buttermilk Falls State Park
See cascading waterfalls surrounded by bright fall leaves. It’s an easy stop with lots of spots for photos.
🍁 Stop 2: Taughannock Falls State Park
This park has one of the tallest waterfalls on the East Coast. It looks absolutely stunning with bright fall colors surrounding the fall.
🍁 Stop 3: Watkins Glen State Park
Walk through stone steps, pass by waterfalls, and see the trees glowing with fall colors all around.
🍁 Stop 4: Letchworth State Park
This is my favorite state park in NY for fall colors. The Lower, Middle, and Upper Falls look incredible with the trees turning red, orange, and yellow.
🚗 How many days?
You can see all 4 parks in 2–3 days on a road trip.
🍂 When is peak foliage?
Usually the second week of October, but it changes each year. Check the NY Fall Foliage Tracker before you go.
