The only thing is, these are from the simulator my buddy trains in, hour after hour, monthly... hours spent on every conceivable emergency. He's a captain for a major carrier (asked that I don't say which carrier) and they fly down to their training center every month for more training, going over every conceivable emergency hour after hour. We learned to fly together up at Westchester County Airport when lessons were 40 bucks an hour. I'm strictly a fair weather pilot, instrument rated, but that was just for proficiency, like for the day I end up flying vfr into ifr conditions. Lots of pilots no longer with us who can attest to it, so I got my ifr rating, but I'm strictly a weekend fair weather pilot... My friends tell me I'm an excellent pilot, it's just that I have nothing to prove to myself, and who chooses to fly in crapy weather anyway? I like puttsing along up the lower Hudson valley on a Sunday, stopping over somewhere to stretch my legs and a cup of coffee, and then back to the yoke. Like we say, every landing a new adventure
