How to glow up quietly this summer 🩰🫧

i'm not doing the 5am grind or the 10-step routine anymore. this summer i'm choosing soft, slow, and intentional. here's what that actually looks like:

1. design your energy, not just your calendar 📖 started noticing how things feel, not only how efficient they seem. lighting a calming candle after a long day, pausing to breathe, staying centered when life gets loud. it's not lazy — it's maintenance.

2. dress to be present, not to seek approval 🎀 soft tones, clean silhouettes, pieces that feel like me. when i'm comfortable in what i'm wearing, i don't need anyone else's permission to feel put-together.

3. nourish quietly 🥣 matcha, yogurt bowls, little rituals that don't need to be posted to count. fueling myself without making it a performance.

4. skincare as a soft reset 🧴 this is where i land every night. starting with ddg cleansing balm — the oat aroma one literally melts the day away without stripping my skin. no drama, just clean. gentle second cleanse. then lock in hydration before bed and tell my skin: you're safe here. wake up softer than i went to sleep.

5. observe more, overshare less 🤍 not everyone needs access to my next move. quiet growth hits different because no one sees it coming — and that's the whole point.

glow up quietly, friends. the right people will notice.

... Read moreThis summer, I found that glowing up quietly is truly about embracing a slower, more mindful lifestyle rather than pushing for constant productivity or perfection. One of the biggest changes I made was focusing on designing my energy — not just my schedule. For example, after a hectic day, lighting a calming candle and taking deep breaths helps me stay centered instead of feeling overwhelmed. This simple ritual has surprisingly boosted my mood and resilience. Comfort in fashion also plays a huge role in feeling present. Choosing soft, neutral tones and clean silhouettes means I feel confident without trying to impress others. It’s liberating when your outfit feels like an expression of your true self rather than a statement to the world. Nourishing myself quietly—like enjoying matcha or yogurt bowls—is another ritual that brings balance. I stopped feeling pressure to share every moment of my health journey and instead appreciate these moments privately, which makes them more special and sustainable. Skincare has become my nightly soft reset. Using the DDG cleansing balm, especially the oat aroma version, gently melts away the day’s stress without harshness. Following with a gentle second cleanse and locking in hydration before bed leaves my skin calm and ready to face the next day. This routine exemplifies quiet, effective care that supports my skin barrier rather than stripping it. Finally, I’ve learned the power of observing more and oversharing less. Not everyone needs to see my next move or plans, and this quiet personal growth has felt the most impactful and real. When growth is unseen, it feels like a true glow up. Overall, glowing up quietly this summer means choosing softness, intention, and self-trust, which creates a natural and lasting transformation. The right people will notice, but the most important audience is yourself.

Yeah. So I have a account on TikTok that I didn’t want people to know about, right? I’ve kept it quiet for 2 years and well everyone wants to slowly follow me and not like any of my post. Okay hear me out😭 I find it weird that people just want to snoop on there and not really interact?? And I’ve learned to stop texting people always because that’s just how they think of me. Most of them have a phone and they know I’m present. I use my page as an escape and also (I guess marketing to lol) it was a safe space for me to be kinda valunable at the same time. And the people that supported me weren’t the people that knew me which makes my point stand. 😭 now I guess I’m popping up on old classmates fyp and it’s kinda annoying. Because why are you following me if your judging?? These are the same people that talk big about themselves and make nothing. 😭 idk but I feel for you on the oversharing. Becasue it’s dangerous not everyone is rooting for me and I have to keep people out my life to some extent to what I want to say and what I don’t want to say. 😂
