To start, it’s important to preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and prepare your baking pan by greasing it with butter and lining it with parchment paper. The combination of unsalted butter and sugar in this recipe forms the basis for a chewy brownie. Melt the butter slowly over low heat, stirring in the cocoa powder for depth of flavor. Next, as you incorporate eggs one at a time, make sure to blend them thoroughly before adding the vanilla extract. This step is crucial, as it ensures a smooth batter. When adding the dry ingredients such as flour and salt, mix until just combined; overmixing can lead to a tough brownie texture. If you want to enhance the chocolate flavor, feel free to add semi-sweet chocolate chips into the batter. This bonus touch makes the brownies even more indulgent. Bake for 25-30 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick. It’s normal for a few moist crumbs to cling to the toothpick, as it indicates the fudginess of the brownies. Allow them to cool in the pan before cutting them into squares for serving. Enjoy your chocolatey creation and share with loved ones for a delightful treat that’s hard to resist!
