17 weeks!
I’ve been starting to feel baby’s little kicks, they kind of tickle but it’s such an amazing feeling. Everything looks good, heartbeat was at 152bpm and I have my anatomy scan next month. 3 more weeks and we’re halfway there ☺️
As you reach 17 weeks of pregnancy, many expectant parents often start feeling their baby's movements, which can be both thrilling and comforting. This milestone not only signifies the growing bond with your baby but also indicates the development of the baby's nervous system. At this stage, the fetus is about the size of a pomegranate, and you may notice distinct kicks and movements that might feel like fluttering or tickling sensations. It's also crucial to schedule your anatomy scan around this time; it allows healthcare providers to assess the baby's growth and development. A healthy heartbeat, like the 152 bpm noted in your experience, is an encouraging sign and a joy to witness during prenatal visits. Always feel free to speak with your healthcare provider about any questions regarding fetal movement, as every pregnancy is unique. This week marks an excellent time for increased self-care and relaxation as you embrace the journey ahead. The halfway point is not only a time for celebration but also for reflection on the path to parenthood.

What are you having love? I’m having a girl and have you done the anatomy scan yet?
