According to the Associated Press, Trump is using the government shutdown as an opportunity to reshape the federal workforce and punish detractors. Trump announced on social media Thursday morning that “he and budget director Russ Vought would determine which of the many Democrat Agencies” would be cut — continuing their efforts to slash federal spending by threatening mass firings of workers and suggesting “irreversible” cuts to Democratic priorities.”

“Trump has been very direct about his intentions in saying that he believes the Democrats would get the blame if he chooses to fire people or cut spending as part of the shutdown.” The President of the United States continues to say he hates half the country and will make them pay. Make them pay for all the negative press, losing an election, lack of parental love, and all the people who hate him to the core. If I were reading this in a history book, I am not sure I would believe it.
