The One Kitchen Item I Regret Buying
🧈 I didn't just try this once or twice, I've tried using a butter bell multiple times, and it never worked for me. No matter what I did-changing the water every 1-2 days, adding a pinch of salt, using salted butter, the butter molded so quickly!
Meanwhile, when I keep the butter on a simple plate in my cupboard, it has never molded. No once. I wanted to love it because it's a beautiful piece to keep on my countertop, but in practice, it just wasn't worth the maintenance for me.
Has anyone else had any luck with one, or am I missing a tip or trick that makes these work?

Just an observation... I can see that there are some small air pockets in the butter on the picture. Have you tried (you probably have) making sure that the butter is as free of air pockets as possible when filling it up and using it? Also, I only use filtered water from my fridge in my Bell and haven't had any problems with molding.
