The book I am reading now.

So far, it's really good. I already don't like one of the characters, lol. I am having a hard time though. I did not read the ballad of songbirds and snakes. Should I stop reading this one and read that one?

... Read moreThe Hunger Games series, especially with the addition of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, offers an intricate exploration of power dynamics, resilience, and human emotion. As you navigate through this exceptional narrative, consider the character development that Collins intricately wove into the plot. The contrast between the different characters not only drives the storyline but also elicits strong emotional responses from the readers. When immersed in the world of Panem, consider how Collins reflects real-world issues of inequality and societal struggles through her characters' interactions and moral dilemmas. Furthermore, if you are contemplating whether to read the prequel first, it might be valuable to note that The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes provides crucial backstory to President Snow, enriching your understanding of the events and motivations in the original series. Exploring both works can deepen your appreciation of Collins' storytelling prowess. Whether you choose to continue with your current read or pause for the prequel, each narrative offers unique insights and themes worth exploring.

No. Just do a quick plot check with Ballad of Songbird and Snakes to get the run down of Haymitch love and it will all make sense. I watched the movie instead of reading it.
