Round up of somethings I loved last week!
Gratitude will change your life. You do not need big things to happen to be grateful. True gratitude brings with the smallest things. This week was full of moments I stopped and thought, “wow, I love my life.” And that is everything.
What are you grateful for today?
Reflecting on my week, I've realized that practicing gratitude truly transforms one's perspective. Even the smallest experiences, such as noticing our girls laying eggs again or enjoying freshly milled Khorasan wheat bread, can spark sincere appreciation for life's blessings. In addition to cherishing these moments on the homestead, I found joy in pushing my personal limits during a 30-minute 2000s rock-themed cycling ride on my Peloton. Tracking metrics like average output, cadence, and resistance motivated me to break personal records, adding a rewarding fitness dimension to my week. Food also featured prominently in my gratitude journey — savoring a club sandwich made with fresh, homemade bread reminded me how nourishing simple, homemade meals can be when crafted with care. Moreover, welcoming new girlie pops to our chicken flock added a sense of renewal and responsibility, enriching my outdoor life and connection to nature. These experiences collectively reinforce that gratitude doesn't require extraordinary events. Instead, it thrives in everyday moments that may often be overlooked but hold deep meaning when noticed. Taking a moment to acknowledge and appreciate these little joys can elevate daily life and foster lasting contentment. What I’ve learned is that gratitude encourages mindfulness and presence, helping me pause and say, “wow, I love my life,” repeatedly throughout the week. It’s a simple yet profound practice anyone can embrace regardless of their circumstances.
