✨our WEDDING VENDORS ✅ + some AD tips 💕

Hi!! sharing my full list of wedding vendors that i’ve engaged for my AD (fully ala-carte, no packages!) + short review for those of you doing your wedding planning! i’m really happy with most of them and i’d say that my wedding planning journey was actually quite great thanks to them! ☺️🙏🏻

hopefully it helps if you’re considering to engage them or need some references🤍

🏨 Venue: Mandarin Oriental (Atrium Suites)

super yummy food, comprehensive wedding package (ballroom florals, wedding favours etc), quite flexible, overall service was awesome!

only thing is our WC wasn’t very responsive at the start, but nearer to AD it was better~ everything was arranged well in the end and we’re extremely glad we went with MO!

Tip: if your ballroom is also Atrium Suites, please get the AV person to retract the projector screen right before your march-ins! The photos will look MUCH BETTER! (Which was what I did after looking at other couples’ march in photos in this ballroom 😅)

🎤Emcee: Linus (@/masterpiecewedding)

Wedding emcee + coordinator + music entertainer. Linus is very experienced, our guests were full of praises for him. Thanks to him, our wedding was really fun and engaging (2 games+lucky draw), and he managed the entire flow very well. Highly recommended to book him early!!

Tip: lucky draw took abt 10-15 mins, if i could choose again i’d have used the time to take more photos with our guests instead; but some guests also told me its rare to see lucky draw in a wedding and they liked the idea, so it’s also a fun element!

📸🎥PGVG: DePair - (@/depair.sg)

we had 2 PG + 2 VG from them, this is a plus point as they would be able to capture from multiple angles (which was impt to us), and we were happy with the final result of the photos and video delivered! they captured some photos from unique angles and key moments (like my dad handing me over to hubby) was captured beautifully as well, and i’m so grateful!

however, the waiting time for the photos & video is quite long (4-5 months!) but it was clearly stated & agreed upon upfront; they delivered my video slightly later than agreed though

so i’d only recommend if you don’t mind having to wait! (we were ok with the waiting time as their prices were reasonable to us and we liked their style!)

Tip: i wish i had more solo shots and of my gown, but my priority was couple & family shots! i also regret not having an “empty ballroom” picture with my husband

please communicate to your PGVG what is most important to you, what are the must-have shots, do not assume that they know!

💄Bride’s HMUA: Gaby Tan (@/bygabytan)

if you like the clean and elegant makeup look, i highly recommend Gaby as i love her “signature” style. She is also quite patient with me on my indecisiveness and changing requests lol😅

Her rates may not be the cheapest as compared to other MUAs, but i feel that it’s important to choose a MUA whose style resonates with you 🥰

Tip: always give EXTRA BUFFER time for hair & makeup! when your PG/VG arrives, your hair&makeup should already be done! The “get ready” shots should be just “for show” !!!

When my PGVG arrived, my hair wasn’t fully done yet; although i got those “get ready” shots which i wanted initially, but on hindsight its not important to me at all 😌 i was slightly panicking & felt kinda rushed, so please don’t be like me!! Just start your makeup earlier if you can

👰‍♀️ Gowns: Wedding Crafters

I booked two gowns from them and it was one of my best decisions to!! 🩷

Highly recommended to check out WeddingCrafters especially if you’re a petite bride in height like me, and also if you love floral/dainty gowns!

They can alter the length of the gown (very important), and all their designers are really sweet and lovely, i enjoyed my fitting experiences a lot!!

👔Groom & Dads’ Suits: The Story of Us (@/usweddingsg) + Ethan Men (customised suit)

Super good and kind service from ladies behind this home based bridal studio! My husband loved his suit and fulfilled his dream of wearing a maroon suit for our wedding 🤣 we also rented suits for our dads here to make things easier! Prices were very reasonable so i highly recommend them as well! Do check them out for affordable gowns too!

My husband’s second outfit was a customised beige suit from Ethan Men which he had used for our PWS + ROM and then for AD 😆 worth the $$!

💐Bouquet & Boutonnieres: @/dancingsparkes.sg

I LOVE my bouquet!!!! 😍 She customised my bouquet based on the references/moodboard that i’ve sent & i tried to describe what i wanted (at some point i dont even know what i want), but she delivered 🥹🥹🥹 one of the kindest wedding vendor as well!! 💕 so happy that i engaged this florist!! Do check out her page!

💄Groom/ Mum’s HMUA:

Hannee (@/honey.beemakeups)

Annie (The Glamistry) / found from Carousell

Both MUA did a great job for our mums! Hannee also did my husband’s hair & makeup and so many people were saying that my husband looked handsome, and he was extremely satisfied with his hair HAHA

they were also punctual & easy to communicate with! 😊

🎀 Reception Decor: Your Event Stylist (YES)

We ordered photo gallery & backdrop from YES to be placed at reception! it was nicely done, but their team dismantled the backdrop 30 mins earlier than our agreed time, causing us unable to take photos with our guests with the backdrop after the banquet ended. I was really disappointed!! 😩

Tip: always confirm on the set up / teardown time the day before your wedding (i didn’t confirm again as i assumed there wouldnt be a problem since we already discussed on the teardown timing previously) and have one of your friend/sibling keep a lookout that no one is taking down the decor before the agreed timing!!!

🎀 DIY Photo Table: Taobao

For photo table, i wanted to keep it simple & affordable so i ordered the decor items from taobao & and had my friends help me with the setup 🙆‍♀️ I wanted to keep the photo frames and display it at our new home!

☎️Video Guestbook: Enchanted Pairs (Carousell/IG)

a unique reception idea! We liked the idea that our family and friends can leave us a video message (instead of the usual written-guestbook) and we can look back on these videos in future ☺️ I felt that the video is slightly dark but still acceptable, and they were really quick in the delivery of the videos!

👗Mum’s outfits: my MIL’s dress (cheongsam) was from a random shop in chinatown & my mum’s sparkly dress was bought from V for Vogue during one of their gown sales at a really good pricing! <$100

🚘Car decoration: Wishescometrue - Carousell

Quick and fuss free car decor done 1 day before the wedding at their location! We opted for faux florals, i don’t think anyone really cares about the wedding car floral so we went for an affordable option which served us well too!

👠Accessories & Wedding Heels:

I got 2 pairs of necklace from Taobao (I thought of switching my accessories to achieve different looks for the same gown)

Earrings were my own pair (MUA also loaned me another pair of earrings!)

My heels were from JB, only costed me less than sgd $50, but so pretty & comfy! (I had a hard time looking for the perfect one because i wanted thick heels, there were a lot more thin heel designs!)

thankfully i didn’t spend few hundreds to customise wedding heels as its been kept in my shoe cabinet ever since 😅
