Philly Cheesesteak Mashed Potatoes
I took a classic #PhillyCheesesteak and gave it a cozy twist; served over creamy mashed potatoes with sweet corn on the side. This is one of those meals that just feels like home.
🧀 What makes mine different?
No bread needed. The steak, peppers, onions, and melty cheese sit right on top of buttery mashed potatoes… and honestly? I might never go back 😭
🛒 Ingredients:
• Thinly sliced steak (ribeye or sirloin)
• 1 green bell pepper, sliced
• 1 onion, sliced
• Provolone or American cheese
• Potatoes (for mashed)
• Butter + milk/cream
• Corn (side)
• Salt, pepper, garlic powder
👩🏽🍳 How I made it:
1. Boil and mash potatoes with butter + cream until smooth
2. Sauté onions & peppers until soft
3. Add steak, season, and cook until browned
4. Melt cheese into the steak mixture
5. Plate mashed potatoes, top with cheesesteak mix
6. Add corn on the side for that sweet balance
💡 My tip:
Season every layer; especially your potatoes. That’s what takes it from basic to “who made this?!”
