私も実家で猫の餌やりをしていた経験がありますが、やはり野良猫と元飼い猫が混在する環境は簡単ではありません。 今回の記事にあるように、元飼い猫のホクチャンは臆病な性 格で、新入りの野良猫クロやトムさんとの関係も微妙なものになることが多いです。私の家でもビビりな猫が新入り猫を怖がることがあり、気づかぬうちにストレスを感じてしまうことがあります。だからこそ、新しい猫が来る場合は、最初は別々の部屋にして様子を見るのが良いと学びました。 また、餌やりをする際には、猫たちの食べる順番や食べ残しに注意を払う必要があります。クロのように他の猫の餌を奪う行動は、餌の数や与え方を工夫することで改善できることが多いです。私の場合は、複数の場所に分けて餌を置き、猫同士のトラブルを減らしました。 廃墟など元々野良猫たちが暮らしていた場所から実家に住み着く猫たちにとって、安心できる場所を提供することも大切です。ホクチャンの部屋を新しく作るというのはよいアイディアで、猫たちの安全基地があることで精神的な安定につながります。 私も入院中に何匹かの猫がいなくなってしまった経験がありますが、それは寂しいものです。猫たちは自由に動き回るので心配も尽きませんが、愛情を持って世話を続けることが一番だと感じています。 これからも温かく猫たちを見守りながら、彼らの個性に合わせた環境づくりを続けたいですね。猫たちの可愛らしい様子に癒されつつ、彼らとの関わり方を工夫していく日々はとても充実しています。
