OOTD of the week in my car
I like my time spent in my car (Midnight) and I feel like me when I record my outfits in my car. This is from Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays outfit. Normally I was stuck in traffic, at a red light, and or a train was passing by so I had time to do a quick vid 📸
As someone who spends a lot of time in their car, whether it's for a quick commute or a longer road trip, I've learned a thing or two about dressing for comfort and style. It's not just about looking good when you step out; it's about feeling good while you're driving too! When planning what to wear on a road trip, my number one rule is layers. Car temperatures can fluctuate wildly, especially if you're traveling through different climates or just dealing with a finicky AC. A light cardigan or a stylish oversized shirt can be easily added or removed. Think breathable fabrics like cotton blends or linen for those long stretches. I remember one Monday morning, I was heading out early, and it was chilly, but by midday, the sun was blazing. My layered outfit saved the day! Comfortable bottoms are also key. I often opt for stretchy jeans, leggings, or even stylish joggers. Anything that won't dig in or feel restrictive after hours of sitting. Skirts and dresses can be cute, but you have to be mindful. I've heard stories (and almost had my own!) of a beautiful dress getting stuck in a car door when you're rushing to get out. To avoid that wardrobe malfunction, I usually go for maxi dresses with a bit of stretch, or make sure shorter dresses aren't too voluminous to avoid getting caught. On a Wednesday coffee run, I wore a flowy midi skirt, and I was extra careful getting out of the car after hearing a friend's mishap! And let's talk about footwear! Your feet deserve comfort too, especially if you're doing a lot of driving. While cute heels might look amazing for your arrival, they are definitely not practical for operating pedals. I always keep a pair of comfy flats, stylish sneakers, or even driving moccasins in the car. They're perfect for long drives and easy to slip on and off for quick stops. You want something that allows you to feel the pedals properly and doesn't become a distraction. For my Thursday errands, I’ll usually throw on my favorite slip-on sneakers – they’re practical and still look chic. Beyond the practicalities, remember that your car can be a fun backdrop for your OOTDs, just like I love capturing mine! It's all about finding that balance between looking great and feeling great, no matter where the road takes you. Happy travels and happy styling!
