Are you a witch?
Calling all witches, both seasoned and those just beginning to feel the stirrings within! I remember a time when I questioned if my deep connection to nature, the moon, and an unseen energy meant something more. Like many of you, I searched for answers, wondering, 'how to be a witch' in a world that often dismisses such paths. It’s not about broomsticks and pointy hats, (unless you want them!), but about recognizing and harnessing the inherent magic that surrounds us and flows within. My journey started with understanding that there isn't just one way to be a witch. The beauty lies in the diversity of paths. Have you ever felt a strong pull towards the stars? You might resonate with a Cosmic Witch, someone who works with astrological alignments, planetary energies, and the vast cosmos to manifest change and gain insight. For me, learning about cosmic energy opened up a whole new way of interpreting the world. Or perhaps you feel most at home in nature, tending to herbs and plants? A Green Witch often focuses on herbalism, earth magic, and connecting deeply with the natural world. Then there are Kitchen Witches, who infuse everyday tasks like cooking and cleaning with intention, turning the mundane into magic. Each type offers a unique lens through which to view and interact with the spiritual world. So, how do you truly begin your path? It's less about a ritualistic induction and more about self-discovery and intention. One of the first 'witchy things to do' I embraced was journaling my experiences and feelings, especially in relation to the lunar cycle. Tracking the new moon for setting intentions and the full moon for releasing what no longer serves me became a powerful practice. I also started exploring crystal healing. Holding a piece of amethyst during meditation, or placing clear quartz on my altar, helped me feel more grounded and connected. There are so many recommended tools out there, but starting with what resonates most with you is key. Many also wonder about connecting with deities, like the Moon Goddess. For me, this is less about strict worship and more about honoring the divine feminine energy represented by the moon – intuition, creation, and cycles. You can do this by simply spending time under the moon, reflecting, or setting up a small altar with symbols that speak to you. Don't feel pressured to 'become a witch with powers' overnight; it's a gradual unfolding. The 'power' often comes from within, from self-knowledge, connection, and mindful practice. Remember, this is your witch guide. There's no right or wrong way, only your way. Explore different types of witchcraft, experiment with practices, and let your intuition lead you. Whether you're drawn to runic apothecary, weather magic spells, or simply want to understand 'how witchcraft works' on a personal level, the journey is incredibly rewarding. Embrace the magic within you, because you are, indeed, Calling All Witches!
