had such a lovely time here!! my feet still hurt from walking so much though😅 i totally recommend going if you live in the DMV area! the OSGEMEOS exhibit was new to us, i think that was our favorite part :)

The "DOROTHY TAPPER GOLDMAN GALLERY" also had some breathtaking panoramic paintings that transport you to another world. And who could forget that incredible "US map made of TV screens" installation? It was mesmerizing to watch and definitely a highlight, showcasing how art can interact with technology. There was even an art piece featuring a "sleeping figure" in a room that was so thought-provoking and serene. Each piece tells a story and makes you think, challenging your perceptions and inviting you to engage. If you're planning your own trip to the Hirshhorn Museum, I'd suggest dedicating a good few hours – my feet can attest to that! It's easy to get lost in the art, so wear comfy shoes. Being right on the National Mall makes it super accessible, and it's a perfect spot to combine with other Smithsonian museums for a full day of exploration. Plus, don't miss the outdoor Sculpture Garden, which offers a serene escape and more incredible art to discover. It’s also such a fantastic idea for a date; there’s always something to talk about and explore together. The museum truly offers a fresh perspective on art, and whether you're a seasoned art critic or just looking for something interesting to do in DC, the Hirshhorn is a place you won't regret visiting. It really is a landmark of contemporary culture, much like its unique silhouette is a landmark of the city's skyline.
