Do You Need A Toddler Friendly Vacation?
Parents, if you’re planning a Sesame Place trip, here are a few things you should know about before you go!
Plan to get there by 9:30 AM to grab a parking spot close to the park and beat the crowds. And if you booked breakfast with Elmo & Friends, you can sneak in before the park officially opens if you just tell them you booked breakfast with Elmo & Friends. For Those who have not booked breakfast with Elmo & Friends if you’re a bit late and face a long line, try entering the park through the gift shop, consider it like an express lane.
The park is wheelchair and stroller friendly. However, if you’re traveling with little ones, consider renting a double stroller (think wheelchair-style) for extra comfort—especially if you have toddlers.
There are tons of activities at Sesame Place Philadelphia for kids. We even managed to let our newborn enjoy the lazy river!
When it comes to the Sesame Street Party Parade, plan to arrive about 15 minutes early. Reserving a spot to park your stroller means you get a great view without the hassle of crowding and if I remember correctly they have a spot that you can reserve in the center if you're traveling with strollers. You will need to book that space in advance.
There is also an option for dining with Elmo & Friends for lunch and consider renting a cabana at Big Bird’s Beach—the cabana even comes with a safe, so you won’t need to rent a locker.
A couple more things: Booking meet-and-greets and stroller rentals ahead of time is a smart move since they can sell out fast. And if you can, go for a platinum season pass—it comes with perks like discounts on experiences and park purchases, plus a Magic Queue Band that lets you skip the lines over and over. If you opt for a cabana, you’ll even get an Abby’s Unlimited Magic Queue for each guest.
