This Museum Surprised Me!

We made our first visit to the Long Island Children's Museum and let's just say, I get the hype now. I didn’t even know museums were still a thing, but this place was packed, and rightfully so.

From launching your own rockets, to playing with bubbles, to being featured on News12 Long Island , it was the kind of place where the kids had a blast and the adults actually enjoyed themselves too.

The museum is fully handicap and stroller accessible, and there’s stroller parking and a coat storage area right by the entrance. Tickets cost $18 per person, and it was worth every bit.

We’ll definitely be back and if you’re wondering:

• Is Long Island Children’s Museum free? Not quite, but worth it.

• How big is the Long Island Children’s Museum in Garden City ? Big enough to explore for hours.

• Looking for more? Try Children’s Museum of Manhattan , Riverhead , or Suffolk County next.

Let me know down in the comments if you would take your kids here or if you have another go-to indoor favorite we all should know about? Let’s build a list of must-visit places! Save this post for later.
