Great South Bay Music Festival VIP Experience
Yesterday, my husband and I attended the Great South Bay Music Festival in Patchogue New York with VIP tickets. I don’t know if it was just me, but the advertising felt pretty misleading. For the price we paid, I expected a lot more. While it was nice to have access to a tented seating area, it was located so far from the stage that I could not see anything. So we ended up walking toward the stage with the everyone from general admission. There were no complimentary drinks nor food included, and the VIP section ended up being just a basic tent on a first-come, first-served basis with standard porta potties.
Having attended many festivals over the years, I anticipated at least upgraded restroom facilities something with a mirror and handwashing station. Instead, I left feeling disappointed and honestly, a bit taken advantage of. The food vendors didn’t leave much of an impression either. I wish I had eaten beforehand.
That said, the performances by The Elovaters, J Boog, Stephen, and Damian Marley were amazing. I just wish the overall setup and VIP experience had matched the quality of the artists.
