Daily Devotional; Our God Can Do It
There are moments in life where reality feels heavier than faith.
The diagnosis looks impossible.
The situation feels too far gone.
The burden feels too big.
Or the prayer feels unanswered.
But then we remember who God is.
He is not limited by what limits us.
He is not intimidated by closed doors, broken situations, or impossible odds. The very things that seem impossible to us are often the places where God reminds us that nothing is too hard for Him.
Throughout Scripture, God continuously worked through impossibilities:
- The sea did not stop Him from making a way for His people.
(Exodus 14:21–22)
- The fire did not stop Him from delivering His servants.
(Daniel 3:23–27)
- The prison did not stop Him from setting captives free.
(Acts 16:25–26)
- Death itself did not stop Him, because Jesus rose again.
(Matthew 28:5–6)
What humanity calls impossible has never been a barrier to God.
Sometimes we forget this because we measure God's ability through human understanding. We look at timelines, resources, doctors, emotions, statistics, or circumstances. But faith reminds us that God operates beyond what we can see.
When the angel spoke to Mary about the birth of Jesus, the situation made no human sense. Yet Scripture declares:
"For with God nothing will be impossible.” - Luke 1:37
Nothing.
That does not mean that God always moves in the exact way we expect, or within the timing we desire. But it does mean He is fully capable. He is still powerful. And He is still working, even when we cannot yet see the outcome.
Sometimes God changes the situation immediately.
Sometimes He strengthens us to walk through it faithfully.
Sometimes He provides peace in the middle of uncertainty.
And sometimes He gives us the strength for the next step.
That is why worship matters in difficult seasons.
Worship declares trust in God even when life feels uncertain.
It says:
"My circumstances are real, but my God is greater."
So today, whatever stands in front of you; fear, grief, uncertainty, sickness, loss, anxiety, doubt, or exhaustion...do not let the impossibility of the situation make you forget the capability of your God.
The same God who parted seas still makes a way.
The same God who raised Lazarus still brings life.
And the same God who conquered the grave still holds power today.
Your situation may feel impossible.
But you do not serve a limited God. You do not pray powerless prayers. And you do not stand alone in "impossible" situations.
Take heart today:
Our God can do it.
Reflecting on the powerful message that "with God nothing is impossible," I have found that incorporating daily moments of worship and prayer truly shifts my perspective during life's toughest challenges. Often, when faced with heavy burdens or seemingly insurmountable problems, human understanding falls short, but faith opens the door to trust beyond what we see or comprehend. In my own experience, difficult seasons have taught me that God's timing and methods differ from my expectations. Sometimes, change comes immediately, sometimes it requires patience and perseverance, and other times, the greatest gift is the peace He imparts amid uncertainty. Recognizing this has helped me embrace worship not only as a ritual but as an expression of deep trust in God's greater plan, even when answers are delayed or outcomes unclear. The scripture from Matthew 19:26, "with men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible," has been a beacon of hope. It's a reminder that our prayers are never powerless nor does God face limitations like us. This perspective encourages me to replace fear, doubt, and anxiety with faith, knowing that the God who parted the Red Sea, saved Daniel in the fiery furnace, freed Paul from prison, and resurrected Jesus is actively working in every "impossible" circumstance. For anyone struggling with fear, grief, sickness, or uncertainty, leaning into this truth can bring solace and renewed strength. Embrace worship and prayer as acts that declare your trust in God's power and goodness. Your situation may seem impossible now, but with God, possibilities abound. This conviction has not only strengthened my faith but transformed how I walk through hardship—knowing I do not stand alone and that our God truly can do it.
