Weekend Japanese Market Photodump
Had a great time at this place :-O!!! Really good variety in Asian snacks, sweets and ingredients. There’s some kawaii goods like plushies, bottles, socks, bento and stationary etc etc, mostly Sanrio but some other mascot merch as well. Really good skincare and hygiene but only one kind of small aisle dedicated to that which is still good but left me wanting more. The prices are okay if you get one or two things but it can add up quickly. I recommend going if you’re looking to find cute somewhat affordable gifts for friends or preparing an Asian dish.

The Maruichi Japanese Food & Deli is known for its diverse selection of Asian snacks, including various ramen snack options such as imitation chicken flavor and spicy varieties. Popular items are often the kawaii goods featuring beloved characters from Sanrio and other mascots, making them perfect for gifts. Shoppers can also find practical skincare products, though the aisle is limited. For those passionate about Japanese cuisine, this market is a treasure trove of ingredients needed to prepare authentic dishes at home. As you explore, look out for shelf-stable snacks like chips and unique flavors that may not be available elsewhere. Visiting on weekends can yield the best finds, as local vendors often showcase seasonal or newly imported goods. Overall, Maruichi is not just a shopping destination, but an experience that brings the taste of Japan to your neighborhood, providing a chance to immerse yourself in its rich culture through food.
