Handmade banner 💚🥀

I’m in the middle of making my new banner by hand! I have all kinds of different fabrics, ribbons, textures, and beads. I’ve been gathering the fabrics and things for a while and am really happy with this sketched plan.

I am trying to film it, so it’ll be on my YT channel once I’m finished! fingers crossed it turns out okay, I’ve never done this before 😂

Utilizing various fabrics like black, cream, and even textured elements with beads and ribbons not only enhances the visual appeal but also adds dimensionality, making the banner stand out in any setting. Starting with a clear, sketched plan helps in organizing materials and envisioning the final product. Gathering fabrics and components beforehand ensures a smoother crafting flow. For those interested in replicating or customizing such projects, experimenting with different fabric types—such as cotton, silk, velvet, or linen—can influence the banner’s look and feel significantly. Incorporating beads and textured ribbons provides an artisan quality that elevates the hand-crafted nature of the banner. These tactile elements are especially fitting for recreating medieval themes, where ornate decoration was prominent. Choosing colors aligned with medieval palettes, such as muted creams, dark blacks, and earthy tones, complements the historical aesthetic. For creators who plan to share their process, filming the step-by-step progression offers inspiration to others while also documenting the artistic endeavor. Even if it’s your first attempt, embracing the learning curve and sharing honest experiences, including nervousness or surprises along the way, enriches the content authenticity and encourages community engagement. Such handmade banners are perfect for market seasons and setups, creating captivating backdrops or signage that connect directly with an audience interested in craft, history, and unique design styles. Whether it’s for a medieval festival, personal room decor, or social media content, the combination of planning, materials, and creative expression produces a memorable piece that reflects individual craftsmanship.
