Barnes and Noble Birthday Book Haul
It was my birthday this past week and if you know me, you know one of my all time favorite things to do is to shop, more specifically for books. So that’s exactly what I did. I drove a state away to cute Burlington, VT and visited Barnes and Noble, an indie book shop and of course the book isle at target. Here’s what I got with a quick summery (I have not read these yet, just my take on the excerpt on the back) ☺️
• Pachinko by Min Jin Lee: A Korean family saga that I hope will make me cry, because I love a good cry.
• Before I let go by Kennedy Ryan: A romance between a divorced couple. This book isn’t your basic romance novel it has depth.
• Lock every door by Riley Sager: A girl responds to a job add in the paper and finds herself in a hotel filled with secrets. I’ve heard this compared to archive 81 on Netflix and I’m here for it. Iykyk.
• The housemaid by Frieda McFaden: A housemaid suspects her employers are not who they say they are. I’ve seen this book EVERYWHERE.
• How to sell a haunted house by Grady Hendrix: Selling a haunted house is obviously not as easy as it sounds.
• The storytellers death by Ann Dávila Cardinal: A family of magic story tellers with a murderous secret that must be solved in order to save another’s life.
• The library at mount char by Scott Hawkins: Caroline has spent her whole life living in an infinite library until eventually she finds her self in a war for the future of the universe.
• Belladonna by Adalyn Grace: Orphaned as a baby and passed around from guardian to guardian, a girls remaining relatives are in jeopardy and she must track down a Killer with the help of death himself.
• The house on the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune: A man works for the dept. of magical youth and is given the task to monitor six dangerous children that live on a distant island.
• Scythe by Neal Shusterman: There is no more hunger, disease, war. We have conquered death, but now we need population control and someone has to do the job.
• What the river Knows by Isabel Ibañez: “The mummy meets death on the Nile in this historical fantasy with a rivals to lovers romance”.
