#1 on Netflix: Tyler Perry's "Straw" 🎬
This is a movie that truly spoke volumes. I was moved by the entire film when I realized there's way too many people in those situations. And growing up poor, I have to say I haven't experienced the exact issues in the film, but similar ones made me realize that we need a change.
This is a MUST-WATCH movie about a single mother working 2 jobs and has a deathly ill child, behind on rent, homelessness, police brutality. these are things we've just normalized the past 5 years. These issues never seem to get resolved, and the people who need the help the most are the last to get it or often denied.
An unfortunate series of events like the ones in this masterpiece can cause people to hit their last "Straw" and cause someone to do what the main character in this movie resorts to.
The interaction between the main character and the people she had with her at the bank was some of the most well crafted Dialouge I've seen in any movie ever. I absolutely love this movie.
TLDR: The main character is given every challenge life can possibly throw at her, and she commits no acts of violence to try to make a change in this very unbalanced, unequal society.
